- Beer (4-5 bottles; I used Guinness you could use any of your choice preferably an ale)
- Cloves (4-5)
- Ginger (1 inch, grated)
- Nutmeg (grated)
- Egg yolks (4-5)
- Brown sugar (1 cup)
- Butter (1 stick)
Pour the beer carefully into a pot and add cloves, ginger, nutmeg and bring it to simmer.
In a bowl add egg yolks, brown sugar and whisk it till its creamy texture.
Once the beer is simmering, take a ladle scoop out some of the beer and slowly add it to the egg while whisking continuously to temper the egg.
Now add the egg mixture into the pot with the beer and then add butter. Let the butter melt and then serve it.
